Our Vision
OmniBook's vision is to create a better reading experience for parents and their children. By allowing them to choose the content of the book and avoiding the hassle of writing the book themselves, we hope to solve some of the common problems.
No more searching for a book when it's time to read – now a new book is possible every time. By choosing the content yourself, the book becomes more enjoyable and tailored to each individual. An added bonus for parents is that we aim to reduce the problem of storage – more books in less space with OmniBook.
Our story
OmniBook began as a project within Junior Achievement in Sweden. Several ideas had come and gone. With only a few days left before the final decision had to be made and my business idea finalized, I felt a bit uncertain. My dad brainstormed ideas with me and challenged my thoughts, and finally, the idea for OmniBook was born.
We often read to my little brother at home, but despite having a years-long book subscription that has filled his room with books, it's often difficult to find something he finds interesting and fun when it's time for a bedtime story. We've read many of them multiple times, and he's outgrown others.
But imagine being able to have a new, exciting story every time! Full of energy, I set to work on making the idea a reality.
My plan has always been to create something bigger, not just a business that I would end after the school year, and that's how the idea for OmniBook was born.
At home, we often experienced difficulty in choosing a book to read for my younger sibling. The idea emerged to be able to create a book whenever needed, specifically tailored to a parent's child. To use the child's imagination, make the child the hero of their own story, and make reading a more enjoyable experience.
